He was flying out of the atmosphere. Actually a couple of men were flying out of atmosphere, Wave, Darnell, Leaf, and Xypher. They all soon landed on the moon.

They all needed time away from the world. Chronos dealing with wife problems, Darnell having no life XD, Leaf just cuz he wanted to and Xypher because no one really liked him even though he didn't talk much.
