"Still going at it." Jet replied. Ray hopped off Jet's back and landed inbetween the two. Jet looked down at Ray and the baby phoenix shifted closer to Okuu.

Okuu looked down at Ray and put her wing around him.

Chronos smiled and kissed her forehead.
Ray felt her wing around his body and he relaxed a little. When he looked back up at Jet, he was gone.

"I kind of hated our parents because they were uptight about everything and it got annoying, having to go redo the nest over and over all day and night just to get it the way they want it. Having to sleep on a branch every day because they think I'd mess up the nest, my mom barely fed me because she thought I'd get fat. And my father pushed me out of the nest to make me fly just a few weeks after I was born. That didn't end well either. So when Jet was old enough to leave, I left with him just to get away from my parents." Ray looked depressed.
Chronos smiled.
